Psychology in Europe Information Session

Interested in traveling to Europe this summer and earning UMW credit while doing it?  Come learn more about the Psychology in Europe course offered by Dr. Kolar in the Psychology Department.  Students in the course will visit London, Wurzburg, Munich and Vienna while learning about the roots of Psychology in Europe.  You don’t have to be a Psychology major to go.  The only pre-requisite for the course is Psyc 100.  The information session will cover the basics of the course including travel, lodging, sites we will visit, course requirements, and costs.

Acoustic Night Featuring Rachel Brown

Be sure to catch Brown, who takes the audience on a visual and audible journey featuring the kora, talking drum, and calabash, in addition to an assortment of hand percussion, electric guitar, horns, bass, drums, and Brown’s vocals, ukulele and acoustic guitar. This Thursday, as part of its weekly Game Night, UPC will be hosting a Twister tournament on Ball! Registration will begin at 7:40 in the Underground, with the games beginning around 8 on Ball. Giant Productions Present Comedienne Beth Stelling

LA Weekly named Stelling #2 on a list of “12 L.A. Comedy Acts to Watch in 2013.” She was a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and will be returning to the fest this year. A few months after arriving in LA, Stelling made her standup television debut on TBS’s Conan. Find out more about Beth here!

New! Financial Literacy Seminars

The Office of Financial Aid introduces a new fun filled series free to students! We will explore topics such as budgets, credit, taxes and more! Help us celebrate the launch of the exciting new program on Saturday, September 14th, 2013 in Lee Hall 411. A drawing will be held for students that register online by Sept. 12!!!
